Pastor Lito Lucas came to know Christ as his Savior and Lord at the age of 13 years old. He knew on May 1, 1975 God called him to the ministry. He was involved in the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) as a student leader in high school and college. He was also actively involved in his church in the Philippines serving in many leadership positions. After years of challenges and seeking God’s confirmation, in 1992 he left his job and answered God’s call to full-time ministry.

He moved to the United States to study at Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. In 1997, he graduated with a of Master of Theology in Pastoral Leadership. Following graduation, he and his family moved to Lakeland, Florida due to his wife’s job. However, God also had another plan for them, to start a Filipino International church. From a simple bible study in 1998, a new church work starts in 1999 and in 2012, the Lord opened another door to start a new church work in in the Winter Haven area.

He served as the moderator of the South Florida Baptist Association from 2014-16 and is now currently serving as the chairman of the Stewardship Committee. He also served on the Credential Committee of the Florida Baptist Convention from 2015-2017 and on the Committee on the Order of Business from 2020-2022. Last March 2023, he was appointed as the Asian-American Multicultural Consultant of the Florida Baptist Convention. He is also the current president of the Filipino Southern Baptist Fellowship of North America and the second Vice-President of the Florida Baptist Pastors Conference 2024.

In 2018, Pastor Lito has received his Doctor of Ministry degree, specializing in Pastoral Counseling, from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

He is married to his high school sweetheart Lilybeth, a registered physical therapist who is presently serving as the Rehab Director at the Estates at Carpenters. They have three children and a daughter-in-law. Patrick who is married to Laura, both graduates of University of Florida and currently living in Indiana. Andy is in college at USF and Gracie at UF.

During their spare time, they enjoy going to Disney World.
